How To Make Peach Cobbler Moonshine With Fresh Peaches
There’s something about making moonshine that is just plain fun!
It’s not just how strong the drink is-though that may be fun too.
But it is the experimenting that I really enjoy. Putting the ingredients together and letting it sit and soak up all the flavors.
Especially when it is a new recipe, like this peach moonshine.
This peach cobbler moonshine recipe is sure to be a yearly tradition with each fall season. The blend of fresh peaches infused with cinnamon is so good!
My Dad gave me an entire basket of fresh peaches so it was the perfect opportunity to experiment.
This is definitely a drink I will be making again. The peach flavor is just amazing, but you definitely get the spiciness of the cinnamon.
It’s kind of perfection if you ask me. Last Christmas I made a batch of cinnamon infused whiskey that I gave to some of my adult friends.
If you can still get some fresh peaches this would be a great batch to make. Just pick up some mason jars, add a gift tag and you are good to go.
- Be sure to keep a jar for yourself.

What to Mix with Moonshine
A Rudnick / Shutterstock.com
Moonshine, aka unaged whiskey, has a reputation as a renegade spirit in the United States. It was made and consumed illegally in the hollows of Kentucky and West Virginia to the tenements of New York City.
The once illicit spirit never gained much traction in bartending circles because its earthy flavor and signature burn never made it the most enjoyable bottle to work with.
And while those facets still present some unique challenges when you’re trying to make a simple two ingredient drink, there are still plenty of mixers that produce quaffable results. Here are the best things to mix with moonshine.
Coke
Moonshine is whiskey, so the classic combination of whiskey and Coke works whether that whiskey has spent time in a barrel or not. Some of the sweeter, corn-heavy moonshines actually have some cola notes, which bridges the gap between the two ingredients.
Grapefruit Juice
Flavorwise, this is sort of the poor American cousin of the Paloma. You can really taste the two individual components—there is a strong, earthy undertone from the moonshine with a layer of bright, citrusy grapefruit juice on top.
Ginger Ale
No matter what mixer you use, you’re never going to lose the unmistakable and potent flavor of moonshine. But if that’s what you’re going for, mix it with ginger ale. Note that we’re not talking about ginger beer here. In a Highball, the sweeter ginger ale helps the moonshine go down the smoothest.

Delicious Peach Tea Moonshine
– HowtoMoonshine
Our peach tea moonshine is the perfect recipe for front porch sittin’. This delicious drink is summer in a bottle and goes down way too easy!
Summer is coming and the porch is callin’. Now all you need is the perfect drink in your hand to enjoy the long lazy days we have all been looking forward to. Luckily we have the perfect recipe for your next favorite summer drink-peach tea moonshine.
One of our favorite things about moonshine is the fact that it is so versatile. While many may still see moonshine as a grain alcohol that is pretty hard to swallow, this could be further from the truth.
What is Moonshine?
Moonshine really refers to any spirit that is made illicitly. In fact, the name moonshine refers to the fact that once making your own spirits was outlawed in the United States, many were forced to run their stills by the light of the moon.
Today the legality of making your own spirits varies from country to country and even state to state.

However, the craft of making moonshine is not limited to white lightning. In fact, there are countless recipes that not only allow you to make many different types of spirits, but also to flavor your spirits.
This means that instead of spending hundreds of dollars to purchase speciality liquors in stores, you can make them at home for a fraction of the price. This not only saves you money, but also allows you to get more creative behind the bar. Imagine the cocktails you could create if you were able to fully unleash your creativity!
The Right Equipment for the Job
While many moonshiners want a traditional still to create speciality blended whiskeys, others prefer the simple approach. For those who want to put their efforts and energies into creating flavored cocktails, we suggest a simpler approach.
The Mist 1 Gallon Air Still is our easiest to use still. It is about the same size as your kitchen kettle and just as easy to use.
Its plug and play design means that with just the press of a button you can distill delicious spirits in the comfort of your own home.
Not only is it easy to distill spirits with the Mist, it also does not require any water. This makes the Mist the perfect option for the cottage, trailer, boat, or for anyone who has limited access to water.
- 750ml of moonshine
- 3-4 bags of peach tea
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of water
-
In order to make this peach tea, you need to make both a concentrate and a simple syrup.
-
Fill a mason jar with moonshine about 3/4 of the way full.
-
Place three or four tea bags in the jar and seal.
-
Leave the tea bags in the jar for a few hours. You want the moonshine to turn very dark.
-
Once the tea bags have been fully steeped, you can remove the tea bags.
-
Add the water and the sugar into a saucepan and combine into a simple syrup over low heat.
-
Once your syrup has formed, allow it to fully cool.
-
Add the simple syrup to the infused moonshine to sweeten to taste.
You can serve this peach tea with lemonaid or sparkling water to dilute the alcohol. Otherwise, sip slowly!
